There are indeed. Many of them dress as Germans (apparently Germans are actually more popular than Americans in WWII reenacting--I shudder to think why) and some of them dress as SS officers, which makes people unhappy.
There is also apparently a site in western Pennsylvania exclusively for WWI reenactors where a bunch of trenches have been dug for them to putter around in and shoot at each other.
